Let's see... Lichess has many game modes, like tournaments, for example. However, chess.com doesn't have as many, but they have more features in general than Lichess. I'm going with both.
sometimes there is a lag on lichess. that is my one and only disappointment. nevertheless, chess.com is a complete embarrassment in comparison to lichess. lichess is miles and miles ahead of any other site I've ever played on!
for playing chess lichess is lightyears ahead of chess.com and the experience is far superior ( i even managed to get a few friends from chess.com playing on here) for the social aspect though chess.com is better. conclusion being i want to play chess more than i want to chat so lichess wins hands down!

first of all , THANK U lichess developers,
during the past years I used many ways to play chess in the net ,and really I was suffering ,first I use the *** chesscube site to play , but among many problems it has, the demanding of paying for cubes is very annoying , then the stupid playchess.com with its many restriction u feel like a homeless there, then I used chess planet ,and to be honest is a good one but recently they started to restrict many things (for example the tournament played there only in Mon and Wed !!) then I start playing in chess.com (sounds surprising because I ONLY used that site as a forum to discuss and chat ) but as u know, like others has restriction, then came chess24 again and again ,like other it has many restriction in addition it's slow (with my 2 Mb net ) then came LICHESS !!and my whole chess life changed wow ! am playing here exclusively , my laptop there ,it's a matter of seconds before I starting to play ! the training section is awesome and it's COMPLETELY free, I really admire the concept of open source (being linux and Stockfish fan rathan than the stupid windoes and komodo :) ) also lichess is growing and I expect many many addition and surprises ...
but because I hope for this site to continue and demolish chess.com I have to say (as Scala pointed out earlier) that the stongest thing about chess.com is its forum , I think if lichess enhance the forum and add features (like colors, support for youtube..etc esp. if some IM and GM starts to write here also ) it will EASILY destroy chess.com as it destroyed the ***chesscube

I forgot to mention that the ability to copy the pgn game file is not available free except in lichess and the ugly chesscube site, I believe this feature is a necessary .
