Personal Training Questions

It is just a simple question, or questions, that I really want to know.

First off, how do you improve in Chess?
I had plans, but I am doubtful about it and I don't want to waste my time. My plans are not necessary to be discussed here; I want to know what you, the community did. Except for playing repeatedly for experience (I know this would work, but... eh, I have my reasons), everybody is welcome to share their ideas.

Thanks, Lichess Community. :)

I have seen your name already. The way you say it feels like it's evident. Well, if that's what it takes, then I will really enjoy my time playing Chess. Thanks for the reply, I was getting uneasy about it. AT least I feel kind of light with someone telling me this.
There are many, many topics filled with answers you seek for. That's why it'd be great to 'sticky' some of those insightful topics.
I can tell you for sure that you won't progress just from playing games, and even the opposite could even be the case.
You gotta read books to start understanding chess strategy. "My system" by Aaron Nimzowtich (probably misspelled) is a good starting point.
Also, solve problems, to improve your tactical skills. Pattern recognition is the key for that part of the game.
Another good way is to look for master games and reading the comments and trying to find the best continuations for yourself.
I came to this thread looking for improvement too, so if someone has some valuable suggestions to add to mine (or better, to contradict them) I'll be glad to read them.
You can read them in the links I posted.
I wonder why the people who ask these questions always close their account shortly after...
