Lichess, please remove "DONATE" bar from header

man you gotta understand donate means give money with your own consent, so you are not forced to donate. I mean i don't see any reason why it should be removed. Its just there, and there forever, it really doesn't matter..

Possibly looks like this person has no connection from donating to forcing you to pay something.

if you want to get rid of it then you inspect element, find the code for it during the game, and get rid of it, see no need for this.

You can also use certain extension to remove the donate bar in the future.

Donating doesn't give a user wings permanently, but rather for one month after the most recent donation. So if someone donates monthly, then they will always have wings. I gave a few dollars a while back, but I no longer have wings since it was over a month ago. My point is that there really isn't a way to tell who has donated or not.

I think the DONATE button highlighted in the main toolbar is a little jarring. I think the previous arrangement struck a great balance. If Lichess is getting short of cash, I can understand it - otherwise I hope we go back to the previous setup.

Listen. Chess.com, as an example, uses ads and paid services as their income. Lichess, however, doesn't have any of that. The one and only way of getting some income in that case is, yes exactly - donations. If you don't like it, go to chess.com, flooded with ads, and have some fun over there.

Just use uBlock Origin or Prettier Lichess, similar extensions to remove it.

I agree it is orange ugly... but it looks like Lichess team wants to expand with paid mobile developers etc.

yup, on chess.com you have to pay way more 50$ I can tell you that because i am a diamond member there. on here, you actually have an option
