@AtalanteChess my question maybe not so serious as I had had a few glasses of wine last night when the idea of starting this thread occurred and this morning I realise I have been writing poetry as a hobby for several years and that I will probably continue in my uneasy relationship with chess and just stagger on. I do agree with you regarding the frustrations of playing chess and working oneself into a frenzy/ rage quitting /obsessing about whether some anonymous player has cheated or not etc - not to mention the addictive quality of online chess. Writing and reading poetry has none of that and it is quite relaxing.
