forfeit game when close browser tab

Hi
It seems that if you accidentally close your browser tab that you can't reopen the the Lichess site and rejoin your game? I'd have thought, for long games especially, that one should have a minute after leaving to rejoin (unless one has a history of abandoning games)
Thanks
Hm...that's never happened to me. Well, I know that for me at least, if I close the tab, it saves the game and I can reopen it if I am in the process of playing it.
Strange, once I was playing rapid and accidentally shut off my computer, I had enough time to restart it and open lichess again and it didn't make me forfeit
In correspondence you can close the browser any time and continue later. I'm not sure about other game modes. When in doubt you can always open the same game in a second browser window, so if you accidentally close one, you can continue the game in the other (I've actually done that before, so I'm sure that works).
You definitively can.
Your opponent got a time to either "call a draw" or "claim victory".
This time vary depending on the initial time control (and maybe the remaining time?).
If you don't find the game in your current maybe get the link from your history, but I guess at this point it was terminated.
