Apparently Trump thinks there will be a bloodbath if he loses in November.

Oh, wait he was speaking economically, specifically about the auto industry. Thank you mainstream media news headlines for leaving that detail out!
There's no such thing as cars that bleed.
And Trump doesn't exist, no matter how you keep shoving it (not "him") into this world's virtual substitute wortsalad.

Trump, not uniquely but nevertheless, needs to take care with his every choice of words.

Why? Because these days, more than ever, tailored little news-glimpses -- tailored to the ever-reduced attention span -- are pushed out quickly and in large numbers whenever a rhetorical can of paint can be hurled.

In response to rising inflation, shout about threats to democracy! In response to rising debt, shout about rights to choose! In response to disorder and street dwellers and foreign war, shout that the opponent is a madman calling for a sanguinary pool!

And hope that memory will not serve the population.

That will likely work. Fear and fashion are difficult to fight, are they not?
I mean, it's been clear for like 8 years these sort of things only help him, given his base support

The more non-pc and crude it is the more they like it
With all due respect, @salmon_rushdie, there is nothing "crude" or "non-pc" about warning of a possible economic disaster, if there is some rational basis for the warning.

Stereotypes are usually wrong, no matter from which direction they are endorsed.

What is somewhat "crude" is scaring others by pretending horrors that, based upon simple recollection, seem utterly unlikely. We should all avoid doing that. We should all concentrate upon what's actually happening. That seems to be a reasonable compromise for all.

It's all in the language used

and with due respect, man's economic policies would make it worse.
