I kind of know what an end game is. I have been playing for a while. But I have never formally study chess.
So this is a curiosity question. The engine runs and says at this particular move it is the end game

For the machine to be able to tell you down to the move there must be some definition.
I was wondering what is that definition. What pieces on the board and what positiion can be called an end game.
