No time game

dont play no time games...

Please Thib get rid of no timed games.
They are fine for casual IMO, but for rated, I agree
I occasionally like to open casual unlimited games when I don't feel clearheaded enough for a quick game but also don't know how much time I actually have available for a long game. For rated games I
suppose you would need quite a bit of trust in your opponent to not just waste your time and then stop moving if the game turns bad.
It's controversial. I can't really decide.

For friendly invite games the interface is cleaner and with less objects taking up space on the page, if there is no chess clock. It's a bad practice, though, because nobody should get used to always
playing unlimited games. It encourages bitching, too, which hasn't receded.

So, cleaner interface, no CPU used for clock counting or floating-point server time math, simpler programming involved. Those are probably the only reasons to keep unlimited time games.

So maybe only keep them for friend invite games and the AI or something instead of just open games thrown around for the public to join.
i think timed games are fine unless you accidentally start a game with one of those jerky players who habitually stops playing if they're losing - i'm in one of those right now with NemesisGnosis - i
checked the dude's game history and he has like 10 open games running, some days old - and in all the open games, it's his turn and he's losing bad - also, it looks like almost all his wins are from
resignations, undoubtedly because his opponents realized what was going on - my suggestion is to not allow players with some blend of stats like that to start untimed games - it doesn't matter if
they're rated or not - it's annoying and a total waste of time regardless
The latest unlimited-time games I've been playing are with a bud off of MSN. Guess he just never likes the clock or having something count down. I mean with friend-invite games you can usually trust
the dude you're linking, nothing wrong with simplicity.

I don't know when if ever will be the next time I join a competitive game (95% of the games here) without a clock control though XD. Besides I can't stand playing with too much time; I need something
insane like 0+1 or 1+0 when I'm winning to give me a limitation to follow. If I'm losing though heh it goes without saying that everyone can use more time
same thing happening right now with essam1995,i suggest to avoid games with him in order to suggest him to take chess seriously,to practice chess first of all an opponent is needed.and these guys
seems to prefer to remain alone.
Maybe add a report function or something, and if a user gets so many reports within a time frame then they get a 1 day ban or something. Not too harsh but it forces them to get the idea that they
shouldn't just leave a game.
What essam seems to mostly be doing is picking on weaker opponents and trying to declare abandonment on his opponent whenever possible, even if he's losing. If you can find a game where he is
actually playing like a computer and actually cheating in that sense then we can do something about it.

Otherwise it's just personal speculation. Some people are more talented at being an ass over points than others; I would still be at over 1580 right now if I was into that.
