This is mostly a problem in the higher rated games where the player pool is much smaller. When I finish a series with one player I generally put out a seek and there's a relatively high chance I'll continue playing against the same player.
Please do one of two things:
1) If you play the same time control against the same player in a short period of time. Treat the game as if it was a rematch from the most recent game. In other words colors are swapped. People are abusing this quirk of Lichess to get multiple whites in a row.
2) If you put out a seek after playing a game with somebody put a one game no-play list on the person you just played against.
To put the above in an example:
I play 6 games against Bob through rematches and then put out a seek instead of continuing our series. Either the color swapping should continue on this 7th game (if Bob accepts) or Bob should not be allowed to immediately accept this seek.
