That thread is yet another great example of how willing most Lichess users are to attack others in the forum for no reason...

It wasn't me that closed it, but I can see why it was closed.

People get pissy when we delete posts, but honestly, that thread was probably not going to give Paulius the answer he wanted and it would continue to be an endless train of abuse. Closing it was reasonable after 6 entirely off-topic and unnecessarily hostile posts.

Understand, I wasn't being sarcastic or anything. That thread should have been closed and rightfully was. Honestly, it's better in my opinion to just close slog-fests like that one, than it is to remove them from the site entirely, because it's very obvious from the content that the thread shouldn't continue. Removing content can calm things down if cooler heads prevail, but can also result in a belligerent backlash.

Honestly, I created this thread because I just thought that thread was very well-named in a completely unintended way.
