2020 Lubowski Open Chess Tournament

Players can be randomly selected to play with ZOOM activated for the duration of one or more rounds. All players must have Zoom installed for this purpose. Please make provision for extra data for this purpose. Arbiters do not have to justify why a player has been selected.

Players need to be able to set the camera at such an angle that their screens are visible during the Zoom session**

You will only be Accepted into the TEAM after you have PAID for the tournament.

The player playing White has to create the challenge 2 minutes before the scheduled start of the round.. If he/ she does not do so the player playing Black must create the challenge and the player playing White will be given two minutes to accept the challenge. If the challenge has not been accepted the player who did not show up will be defaulted.

**Games that are disrupted during play due to the Online platform being restarted, will be started with the last position available from the platform. The remainder of the time will be split equally between the players as manually setting of clocks cannot be done.

Players are encouraged to play on mobile devices during load shedding. Games disrupted due to load shedding will not be restarted.**

VERY IMPORTANT:

Before the tournament starts you will have to update your Lichess Profile with your real name, Chess SA and FIDE IDs as a requirement from CHESS SA in order for them to Rate all our future tournaments.

Pairings will be published on Chess- Results.com
The arbiters reserved the right to repair players in the first round due to no-show of opponents. Playing time will be adjusted accordingly as advised by the arbiter.
