Well - I am a human who is offended by the thought of discrimination. The existence of women's chess tournaments implies that chess something where sex matters. Exactly as a tournament for blacks (as @FredtheCrusher said) implies that the race matters.

I do not have to be black for dispising apartheid. Even if there might be some blacks who consider their own race inferior.

Yeah, nice tradition! The Guinness Book of Records has a lot of various chess champions. FIDE has to create titles for all of them!

Look the term "discrimination" up and tell me what it means.

At the risk of receiving a lot of hate:
Having moneyprizes that can only be won by women or giving women special titles that are easier to achieve than the global equivalent but still entitle one to the same advantages (like not having to pay an entrance fee) is, by it´s very nature, sexist. Fullstop.

The day of having a separate tournament just for women can still take place but it can't be looked like it is in sports where you are saying because they are women they are at a disadvantage. To suggest that women are at a disadvantage in playing chess is outdated 19th century thinking. The only real difference you can see between men and women are in the top players in the world but this could be explained that most chess players are male and the top players in the world would reflect that but I don't see any difference between men and women for 99% of the people who play chess. I put elite chess players in a separate category so maybe having a male brain is at an advantage but I have no opinion on that other then there would have to be scientific research done which would never happen due to political correctness in our society. So I look at at this way there is no difference in chess ability based on sex other then the top players in the world which are definitely dominated by males.
