It’s a mixed economy, incorporating aspects of market capitalism, socialism, and traditionalism. Not sure why you need a poll.
Polls are used for several reasons, one being to sample people's beliefs.
It's not a belief issue, though. It's a literal fact.
Proof:
Capitalist: Markets exist in the United States
Socialist: taxes exist in the United States
Traditionalist: Tipping at restaurants is an accepted practice in the United States
