How about a women titled arena on international women day ?

Here on Lichess nobody has a gender. And that's okay, because it should not matter in other aspects of life than sexuality (or sports).

19 Titled Arenas has been played, not a single time has been a woman titled player on top 3.
Once a year a woman only titled arena wouldn't be a bad idea. But anyways I noticed that there are GMs, IMs, FMs women titled players also in mixed. Not sure how would it be figured out.

@Sybotes tell that to Female chess players. There might be a point , but who are you to speak for female chess players?
OFC female chess competitions should exist as long as there are women willing to play in them.

If you have Women only tournaments you have to have Men only tournaments as well. Most people would agree that that is ridiculous, so just get rid of all the Women only competitions.
Same goes with female titles. They are about as justified as having special titles for black people

@tlsh2020 I believe everyone is free to create their own arena on Lichess. And Lichess is free to make or not make this arena official.

@FredtheCrusher Wait for it. I am sure, once chess gets popular among the black people. Your @ss will get kicked by any 12 years old African as it is with these upcoming Asian kids. Some decades ago no one would have thought that kids like Firouzja, Praggnanandhaa, Wei Yi would be GMs.

I agree with @tlsh2020 that it would be nice to organize a women-only tournament for March 8th. As to how the gender of the competitor would be determined, I suggested that they could be given the opportunity to express their gender. Organizing a women's tournament would honor International Women's Day;)

There is a open section and normally special incentives for youth players, women, seniors, rating groups etc. Affirmative action.
